Please, upload visual studio 2010 version compatible for sharepoint 2010! I tried convert source project to 2010, but when I import in VS 2010, I don't get WSP, only dll file. Please upload work project for visual studio 2010 sharepoint project template.

I've updated the file myself and it seems to be working perfectly. All you have to do is change the link it shows in list settings because SP 2010 already has a "form settings" link.

1. Use the info here: http://sharepointroot.com/2010/07/07/editing-contents-of-a-wsp-sharepoint/ to unlock the wsp file, change "Form settings" to "Field settings" (replace all), and save a new wsp file. (I didn't change the name OfficeToolbox.SharePoint.Lists.wsp)

2. Uninstall/remove the the solution from SP and add/deploy using the new wsp file. Use these instructions if necessary: http://sharepointroot.com/2010/07/07/editing-contents-of-a-wsp-sharepoint/

3. Activate the solution in central administration under Application Management/Manage web applications/Manage features

Works great in 2010!

I've installed the current version in my 2010 environment and it seems to be working, BUT there are 2 "form settings" on the list settings page. Based on the conversation above, you've updated the project to show "Office Toolbox" instead, so can you please share the solution?

After we installed the SP3 on MOSS 2007 environment, we found that the field description are not shown on all SharePoint site. Once we disable the solution, it's all display. Will you upgrade the solution to support SP3?

I have the same problem, after I installed the solution i can not see how can i use, could someone help me.

As mentioned in the Discussions section, the field descriptions disappear from the New and Edit forms when this is activated. I love this application and it is in use in many of my sites but on others I need the field descriptions to show too.

Anyone have a fix for this yet?

I think it is defaulting to the wrong behavior. My guess is that until the editor (Form Setting page) is invoked on a list, its custom property isn't in the bag, and it does the wrong thing by default.

If you have a list that is missing descriptions, and you have never opened the Form Settings page for that list, go and open the Form Settings page and then hit OK, without changing anything, and I believe that sets the property and then the descriptions should appear.

It seems that deploying this projects breaks all label rendering farm-wide, and I see that this was reported in 2009.

This makes me wonder if this project is no longer actively supported?

The distribution zip uses code which is not built from this repository; does anyone know if the real source code is available?

It appears that this is "applied" to all web apps in a farm once installed. I spent a day last week trying to figure out why descriptions were not appearing on a document library edit form. I had this installed on the farm but it was activated on the web application were I needed it (Web App A), but not on Web App B. However, I couldn't get the descriptions to show in Web App B until I uninstalled this from the farm.

Any ideas?

eJugnoo, have you looked at this issue lately? Could it be how the Application Content is unpacked to the Server?

I just downloaded this .wsp today but get an error when I attempt to install in my MOSS 2007 environment:

When I opened the manifest.xml file, the SharePoint product version is:

SharePointProductVersion="14.0"

Is it possible to get a MOSS 2007 compatible version?
